hi guys, got a 04 sportivo. happend to take out my glove box door thingy the other day to check the air con filter, i slid out the little box thing and noticed that it was just empty? no filter or sponge or anything?
So i went over to toyota, went to the counter and asked the guy for a filter, he reckons that only the corollas have the actually air con filter and the sportivos subosebly dont need one and didnt come out with one yet it still has the compartment to put one in?
Is this guy an idiot or anyone else with a sportivo have the same deal with no air con filter?
no, nope of the zze family have aircon filters.
Everyone seems to complain about this, however I have never had a problem with any smell coming through my aircon.

ok, so what if i do happen to put a normal 04 corolla air filter in? (it does have one doesnt it?) will it be of any benefit or do absolutely nothing?

The filters were installed in euro models I think. Since in Aus we don't have problems with pollen etc.
Just go to bunnings and buy some 3M air con filter. With a few pieces of wood etc, you can DIY your own filter.

this is a previously covered topic...
i went to my local autobarn and they had an aircon filter to suit our corollas.
roughly $30-35 if my memory serves me correctly.. this was about a year ago though.

there is on that will fit from Toyota. I think the part number is 8856852010, but its not a standard on this model
