i am trying to source blank transponder keys for a toyota corolla 2006 model i am unsure what technology, there are different types 4c, 4d ? has anyone else sourced these keys and if so which brands or what websites did you use, i have tried ebay while some look promising i am unsure as one ebay store said the key would not work in Australia? Anyway thanks in advance

Once you get them I believe you will still have to take them to a dealer to get your ECU to accept them and program the door remote as well.
Expect to pay a ridiculous sum for this simple process.
A locksmith will cut the key blank though.

So Toyota will slap on a hefty price ./ yet again....
i was getting happy for no reason.... sigh_

there's gotta be a cheaper way than paying Toyota $300-$400 for a new key/chip/whole working key...

not cheap !!
at my work it costs roughly 77 for the remote on a commo (vz) and charge another 80 or so for the programming..
this includes logging onto holden and recieving the bcm security number
changing the blade from the old remote to the new remote
getting tech2 and programming the bcm...

if are making a spare key it includes a $15 blade and copy...

its how dealerships make hefty $$
