hi i just bought my car i was wondering did the 2003 corolla sportivo ever come with cruise control as a factory option? if not does anyone have it, because the previous owner had it installed but it was done a bit dodgey, its a rostra im not sure if they are good, i need to fix it if i want to keep it, if not i am just going to take it out, what are you opinions? fix it or chuck it out?

Cruise control is expensive. I wouldn't chuck it if I were you.

hmm so i should fix it up, well then i need a new bracket and a new throttle wire i think thats whats its called, thanks ill get it fixed then

$899, though if you ask nicely Toyota might do it for $700.

Going outside, it's about $200 for parts, and anywhere between $500 and $700 to install as it can be time consuming. There are some DIY kits, but they can be damned difficult to install. Talking of which, I have a DIY kit for sale, $200 ono, free postage within Aust.

yea i saw cruise control for $227 in the latest supercheap catalogue... its only useful if you are driving long distances yea?

Probably more on long distances on highways, makes the trip much easier.

yes i enquired the other day over 700 to install.
I would keep it if you travel long distances.
I miss it badly as my last car had it. My parents live 4 hrs up the hwy!!!!!

lol yeah would be good to be able to use it smile.gif drive from liverpool to campbelltown for tafe aint no fun, though i need to refit it in, the previous owner used a fragile weak bracket so the cable is loose, ill take a picture of it tomorrow to show you all
