The standard Corolla 06 Ascent wheel is very bulky and designed for normal driving. Its very bulky and not good for sporty driving.

Any sugestions on what I should buy? How do I deal with the airbag problem that many people have ?

you need to keep the airbag there for legal reasons.

best option is to find a 3 spoke toyota wheel from a sportivo or a TRD one, but they are pretty expensive.

the levin's have the 3 spoke airbag wheel too.

I think the best way to put this is that you will need to be prepared to spend a fair bit of money just for a slightly better steering wheel.

I don't think the Ascent was designed to be driven like a race car you know. I'm pretty sure the steering wheel they provided would have suited it's intended driving style.

just out of interest, are the steering wheel airbags interchangable between preface and facelift? Jap and South african built? cheers

yes they are, just be careful doing so though, cross the wrong wires accidently and the airbag will go off in your hands which would not be pleasant.

I don't have a problem with my steering wheel when giving it the beans.
