Hi all. Has anyone towed with their RAV4 V6 yet? If so what and how much did it weigh? How did it handle it?

Also are you able to invert the toung of the original Toyota tow bar?

Not yet. I'm part way through installing a brake controller and 12V hotwire. Might be a few weeks yet before I actually pull the van out, though!!

(Not sure why it put this answer where it did.)

Wondering - how much does it cost for a towbar and its installation - can anyone shed some light...

Sandshoe,

Any chance of getting some pictures and a description of how you are going about installing the break controller & aux power feed.

Are you running the wires the same way as the wiring harness for the tow bar? Where are you going to end up putting the brake controller & which type?

Cheers

@Tigz
Sorry, I don't know. I had mine fitted as an option when I bought the car (it only occurred to me later that I could probably have saved a few $ by going after-market!)

When I have a few moments I'll make some notes.
I bought a Tekonsha P3 - the word is that they are one of the best on the market at the moment. And, yes, I followed the existing wires down under the nearside footplates.
