I HAVE BEEN GIVEN A TOYOTA 16000 DOUBLE DIN HU WHICH IM INSTALLING IN THE 72 CROWN ,

PROBLEM IS I KNOW WHICH WIRES ARE PERM POWER ACC AND EARTH , ILLUMINATION + SPEAKERWIRES

BUT THE SCREEN STILL DOESNT LIGHT UP , HERE IS A PIC OF THE LOOM AND UNIT , ANY IDEAS?

BY THE WAY I KNOW I NEED A RADIO FREQ CONVERTER TO USE THIS HU

If you've got all the wires hooked up correctly, the unit is working but nothing on the screen I'd say it's stuffed...

last time i saw something like that was in the MR2 and we found out that the actual power was coming from the plug off the aerial, you might wanna check that

most hu's have two +12v lines, one for power/to keep memory (+Batt) and one to trigger it to power on (+Acc)
