has any one ever put a turbo on a 18 RUG or 18 RUC motor?

Shouldn't that be 18RGU engine?

I do know someone who has a Garret T04 turbo running 21psi in a blow through carby (Solex) setup. The 18R block has been bored and stroked to 2.4litres and puts out around 350hp.

There used to be kits available for the 18RG and 18RC.

Toymods will be your friend. There's a whole dedicated thread to turbo-ing the 18RG, plus several members who have done it or are in the process of doing it themselves.

if you are thinking of a RWD celica, why not do a 3sgte RWD conversion... could probably net you more power in the long run, although will be alot more complex

I know of at least one we've done at work. If it was me, I'd be running dedicated LPG and a T3/T4 turbo - should get some very healthy numbers out of it
