how old is the tyre? i know some people who actually buy 2 sets of tyres, and leave a set on their garage room to harden by the sun for a year so when they put it on the next year it lasts longer ?? lol

looks mad !!!

Retread?
DJKOR
Could possibly be either some random object on the road, or just a crappy tire.

I've had a separated tire once which I believe was the tire itself and not from something on the road. The tire was only about 7,000km new.

Shame it doesn:t work like that in reality. The UV damage to the tyre (not even mentioning the ageing proces) reduces grip like you wouldn:t believe.

Here is what i will share with you about what happened to me...

On my old old car something similar happened to me when i was cruising up towards the Sunshine Coast from the Gold Coast.
I had just had new rubber put on the back wheels, (at the time i didn't know anything about cars) and had Re-treads fitted on the rear... BAD IDEA!
The Profile of the tyre sidewall was thicker then what was supposed to be fitted, so i was happily cruising up to the Sunny Coast, and i feel the steering beginning to shake like crazy, and i am thinking, 'what's up whis this - Mind you i was travelling about 100 km/hr... a bit longer and then i could smell Tyre smoke, and the ride was just getting worse, and i tried to get people along the road to inform me that there maybe something wrong (don't rely on other ppl, the are hopeless) and all of a sudden BANG! blew the tyre at 100km/hr, managed to slow right down and pulled right off the highway.
Now in saying this, i didn't know cars the way i do now, but when we had a look what had happened, the tyre had actually rubbed THROUGH the bottom part of the suspension, it just chewed straight through it ohmy.gif
so No. 1 Lesson learnt, no matter how 'good' the price is for re-treads, PLEASE DO NOT BUY THEM OR PUT THEM ON YOUR CAR, ESPECIALLY IF ITS THE WRONG PROFILE!!!!

The only bonus about leaving tyres out in the sun for a year is the extra smoke they produce hahaha...

Looks like a cheap chinese tyre, you get what you pay for.
Newpresara
dude looks like a recap tire - if so they have been known to peel, blow out, and other weird stuff..........
Rolla Boy
Doesn't look like a cheap chinese or retreaded tyre, just looks aged, can tell by the cracks in the tread surface...
