I believe my Toyota Tarago 2001 ACR30 has done a counter balance bearing. Has any one else had this done? How hard is it to do it your self? I'm a bit scared to ask - how much did it cost you?

I was right to be scared - Bridge toyota just quoted me $2500 for labor plus parts

it's my only car

It was not a counterbalance bearing as I was lead to believe - it was a flex plate between the gear box and the motor (I think). considering we did 1400km after the noise started. It was still rotating when it was pulled out despite the crack being complete - it was just snagging enough to keep the car moving. cost parts $400 plus labor
