Hi all,
Well a rare opportunity has come up for me to purchase a '99 Corolla Seca sedan,
I was wondering what are some basic modifcations I can do to make it handle/perform better.
I have done some reading on this forum (and others) and was thinking something along the lines of a 2.25" exhaust with high flow cat and 4 - 1 extractors, and a CAI?
handling wise I was thinking of lowering on king spring lows + strut brace & sway bar? please note that I'm on a budget so no coilovers etc.
Could you recommend somewhere in WA I could buy the springs/have them installed and the CAI?
Cheers!
Basically...
- K&N panel filter, remove resonator in front bar and re-route new piping front hole in front bar to air box. Sure will breath better and little more noise.
- In my sedan I've got King Lows and KYB Excel G twin tube shocks. Quite stiff in front that's for sure. Rear is ok. Front with lows on 14s is quite low already. I scrap over quite a few car park speed bumps as is (that is without mud flaps).
- For standard looks can get an AE101 or AE111 Toyota Levin Genuine 3 point front strut brace or more effective would be Whiteline 2 point strut brace.
- I recommend 2" exhaust, high flow cat and make sure you get a good muffler (Lukey is good) not a cheap crappy straight through
