Full Version: Super Low or Low King Springs?

Hi guys i just bought a Corolla Sportivo, it's full stock so it's sitting pretty high, the the first thing i want to do with the car is lower it, i've considered getting super low king springs but i don't want to be scraping speed bumps when i have a full car, i don't mind getting just low but i haven't seen many cars with them. If you guys could give me advice it would be great and maybe some pictures with low King Springs. Thanks
jaderd
ive got low, see pic below.......30mm drop and safest i think.....as in dont have to worry as much with parking, generally my bar sits above curbs

PS - should have bought my car wink.gif

This is what Eibachs look like when rolling [much the same height as King lows]:

Oh cool, when you have a full car do you scrape speed bumps? I saw your car for sale but it was outside of my price range i scored quite a good deal for my sportivo

Hey mate,

I've got Kings Super Lows on mine, and on 17's. So far i've scrapped once, and that was with a full car. You've just got to be carefull when parking, as you don't want to squash/damage the front of your car on the gutter seeing as it's that low. But even still, learn to judge how close to get and also at what angle/speed to go over speed humps so your not scrapping and you should be fine.

oh damn :S sorry to hear that. I think eventually you/anyone will forget, and scrape, or bottom out somewhere along the line hey?

To the OP: I chose Kings Super Low's mainly because I liked the look of them, which was based on pics from TOCAU. It's whatever you prefer though. Good luck with it! smile.gif

Thanks for the info guys, i've had a look through the forums and it seems that having super lows on the rear and lows on the front is recommended, do you guys reckon that set up is good?
Kenneth
Coming from someone that tried both,

http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...st&p=315009

He seems to find that having two different "type" of springs decrease the handling of the car by a little. Dont quote me on it, best to ask the person himself smile.gif

Nah, Eibachs sit lower than lows. On a ZZE they give about a 40mm drop [advertised 30mm drop on E12, which sits lower stock].
