Engine Performance problem
1987 Toyota Tarago 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 258000 miles

Hi,

I had to get my head gasket replaced in my van, I then drove over 1500k without issue. Now after 10 dollars of cheap petrol the engine is spluttering and loosing power. Can I just change the fuel filter to resolve the problem?

I have refilled the fuel tank with octane boosters added but this hasn't helped.

Any ideas where the fuel filter is located so as I can change it? I have a '85 filter and 87 is not listed.
