Nice times you've got there. Good work. Especially for a Camry of that age.
mick.wheelz

AND at 6psi...

I was expecting slightly better times than that. But... that comes with practice ay? No doubt if you had a Manual and were more experienced, you could probably shave another second easily right?
ASG14
^ Not a chance in hell would I shave 1s off that without more boost.

Stock the car is 16.5 or so in the 1/4. My friends were surprised how fast it was too. I was expecting a 15.0. If I get a better exhaust, upgrade my injectors, get a lightweight crank pulley, and take like 100lbs (seats) out of the car, I may just "tap" the high 13's.

Adam,

How the hell couldn't a manual transmission not help you? They're lighter for a start and you can get them going much better???
ASG14
Oh, it would help a LOT, but not 1s faster without more boost I don't think. 1s is a lot more then you realize. I wish I could easily break into the 13's....

Oh I'm pretty sure 1 second is alot, never said it was "easy" so to speak... but damn. "Bigbird" on TN says that a manual 1MZ is about the equivalent of a S/C'ed 4psi Auto 1MZ?

ASG14
Pretty close to it. The Auto takes 10whp away. And that would be 4PSI with no other mods. My custom intake, and the headers/exhaust added like 30whp......

To get those sorts of times in my 96 Camry , I'd have to drive it off a quarter-mile high cliff.
