just wondering if u guys know about the situation with broken lift bolts on the 2zz motor? im not sure if the sportivo engined corollas are affected, ive got a 2zz celica and i thought the problem with broken lift bolts was only in america n not australia...but 2 australian celica owners now have discovered they have broken lift bolts, toyota australia said they are un aware of this problem.

do any of u guys know any good mechanics in syd with experience on our motors?

i bought the new design of lift bolts i just hope mine arent broken because its 6.5 hrs worth of labour

hey dude,

welcome to the forum .... before you get slammed for not using the search tool on the forum as this topic has been discussed before ill let u know the sportivo has a later revision of the 2zz-ge which i believe this problem has been fixed ....

The earlier t-sports (the sportivo in europe) also suffered from this issue but as indicated once the new revision of the engine was release it would seem this problem was rectified ....

That being said i also havnt heard of anyone with a sportivo who has expereienced this issue... Have u heard of any of the newer celica's who have experienced this issue ?

So can everyone please refrain from pulling out their blow torches ... tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

cheers

oh and as searching for the word lift would cause for a huge number of results to appear i just used the word bolts in my search:

http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...topics&hl=bolts

and it only returned 3 pages of results simply looking at the thread titles i could tell which were relevant .....
