Hey Guys,

I recently installed RDA slotted rotors on the front of my corolla, and with the recent rain have had some rust come up on the rotor. Now i know this is normal but my problem is that the pads dont seem to cover the entire rotor and are therfore leaving a ring of rust on the part it doesent cover which appears to be nearest the hub. My question is what can i do to get rid of this rust are you able to buy larger pads?

Cheers

Did you get the right size disk dude ... biggrin.gif lol......... just joking.

O.K. getting a larger pad, is both illegal and dangerous unless you change the size of the rotor. You can get additional information from any brake specialist (I would highlly suggest this).

I have had this a few times, lightly rub off with "stillo-soap" the one will the stillo without the soap, and it does wonders, there you go, all gone. biggrin.gif

i saw this coming tongue.gif

cheap shot! laugh.gif

Don't worry your using cheap RDA rotors.. they won't last that long.. the disc material is pretty soft.. if your using hard compound pads.. it won't be long till it's time for them to be replaced smile.gif smile.gif

So RDA rotors are no good? Has anyone else experienced problems with them?

lol, yeah JSL is quite right tho. they wear very fast, esp with performance brake pads. but for the money they are pretty good in the sense that they take quite a bit of abuse without warping! and they aren't too expensive to replace, imo.

I used DBA Slotted Rotors in my first Corolla...
I used RDA Slotted Rotors in my previous Corolla...

I think the RDA's were better than the DBA's to be honest...

Both SX Hatches and both using Bendix Metal King Brake Pads...
