Last night...cruising along this weird noise just came out of the car...

sounded like metal scraping....i thought the exhaust had fallen off and was scraping on the road...

thats how bad this sounded...

i pulled over straight away...checked the car over and under and in....everything looked fine....

when i started driving again...everything was normal...and today evrything is normal....

its like some weird **** is happenin

first time ive heard the noise....and havnt heard it again...no engine lights came on...no temperatures started rising...all is good....

but what a noise!!!! what could it be....??? metal scraping on metal???

I get that too sometimes. It seems like the brake rotor is rubbing against something, thats how it sounded. Well at least its coming from somewhere there, sometimes front left sometimes rear left. However, it doesn't seems to do any damage. Hope not.

My cousin a while had this problem a while back on his 95 corolla. He was driving along Norton Street on a Saturday night and he heard this incredibly loud metal scraping noise (how embarassing lol laugh.gif ) which sounded like one hell of a squeeling and scraping noise . He ended up finding a rock wedged between his disc rotor n sumfin else apparently.

In all seriousness (good to see you laugh though Northy wink.gif) I'd say it was the front rotors. Crap get in mine sometimes. Hmmm.

id say it was a rock between ur brakes, then when you goto brake to stop and check it usually dislodges itself.
