  1. Yes, I can answer that, have look at your 20 pins connector, on pin 5 is reverse signal , Pin 11 is Video (+) , pin 12 is video(-) , pin 13 is camera (+) (6V) and pin 14 is Camera (-) (6V) , with pin 13 & 14 make sure you convert them to 6V before you hook up to ur factory Camera unit otherwise you may cause permanent damage to your device.any problems pls contact me.cheersHi Peter, Good morning.. I have the same head unit as tchau only black in color. I bought an aftermarket reverse camera with 12v supply and a long RCA video cable that came with it. On my understanding from your post I have to cut this RCA connector and connect the positive wire to pin 11 and the negative of the wire to pin 12. Right? The 12v to power the reverse cam I can connect it to the reverse light instead, right? How about the pin 5 (reverse signal) what should I connect in there and what exactly it does? THANKS!
  2. Hi Sportivo2007, Thanks heaps... Heading to the thread now.
  3. Hi guys, Badly need some help please... I have a 2010 model Rav4 with the stock head unit Fujitsu PZQ60-00052. I bought an aftermarket reversing camera and installed it myself all went well until I am about to connect it to the head unit as there is not video RCA connectivity just like on my aftermarket camera. I've been searching through google to find some information on where I can install it. I've seen one car before with exactly the same head unit and it has a reversing camera so I know mine is capable. Toyota service also acknowledge that it's possible but did not tell me which one. (I'm kinda expecting that)
  4. Slon, Toyota Service told me that the headlight cannot be adjusted, hhhmmmm... so they did not do anything with it but I noticed that it's more sensitive now although it still has a delay of about two to three seconds before turning on when entering a tunnel. My bluetooth problem according to them is a known issue particular on that head unit so they are waiting for a new head unit to replace the original one.. I hope that they replace it with GPS capability *I wish*
  5. Ok... I have send my car to Toyota to fix the paint crack issues and has mentioned this problem as well and also the bluetooth issue which is almost unusable when the car is travelling from 40km/h onward.
  6. Hi all, Is there any way I can change the sensitivity of the Automatic Headlight Sensor on my 2009 RAV 4? I've been flicking the manual and searching TOCAU forum with 0 result... or maybe I'm just not looking hard enough. Reason I asked is I want to make it more sensitive to work as sometimes I'm already driving late but the light still not turning on. You can say "Why not just put it on manually?"... It's for the wifey who's just starting to drive and multi-tasking for her is still a bit of a work out. Thanks!
  7. Hi all, Just received this link from a friend in the US. http://pressroom.toyota.com/pr/tms/custome...ing-153495.aspx Which models are involved in the sticking accelerator pedal recall/stop sale? Toyota’s accelerator pedal recall and suspension of sales is confined to the following Toyota Division vehicles: • Certain 2009-2010 RAV4*, • Certain 2009-2010 Corolla*, • 2009-2010 Matrix, • 2005-2010 Avalon, • Certain 2007-2010 Camry*, • Certain 2010 Highlander*, • 2007-2010 Tundra, • 2008-2010 Sequoia *Highlander hybrids and Camry hybrids are not involved in this action and will remain for sale. Further, Camry, RAV 4, Corolla and Highlander vehicles with VINs that begin with "J" are not involved. What is a “VIN” and how do I find it on my automobile? A Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is a 17-character sequence of numbers and letters that is used by the automobile industry to uniquely identify motor vehicles. It can be viewed through the windshield on the driver’s side at the front of the dashboard. In addition, the VIN number is also located on a sticker located the driver’s side pillar, with the tire inflation information and on the vehicle’s registration. 8. Thanks for the reply.... I already contact my dealership through phone and he told me to show it to the service centre when I bring my car next week for the first service (1000km). He asked me to send the photo as well.... I'll see how we go with this issue.... I still can't believe that it has no primer paint at all. Now I'm worrying that the whole body has no primer at all.
  9. Hi Again What would be the best way to contact the dealer about this?.... Should I send them an email with photo attachment first (of the problem), phone them or go and see them directly?.... I'm thinking to go and see them directly so they cannot fabricate any BS answer (just in case). How big is this job will be?... and what would be involve? Will they need to re-paint the whole car or just the panel?... I'm asking because as I said before I'm a bit disturbed to find out that there's no primer paint on it.
  10. Hello all, I've been lurking on this forum for a while and I now finally joined in after I received my brand new Toyota Rav4. My Rav4 is a Cruiser Model with Crystal Pearl white body colour.... I've got it 2-3 weeks ago and today I did some thorough wash and noticed a crack paint on the rear right hand side passenger door panel next to the door latch. What disturbed me is it looks like there's no primer at all. It's a large vertical crack (about 2") and some yellowish rusty coloured droppings from inside the crack upon closer inspection a portion of it fell down and to my surprised it is a bare metal body already. I will definitely report it to the dealer of course and ask for appropriate action. I just posted it here to ask if someone else experience this issue or noticed that their Rav4 paint is a bit low quality. i can't help to compare my Rav4 paint to my Holden Astra which has a very good body paints and rugged body. Please don't get me wrong as I love to drive this new car.... it just maybe one of those hiccups that someone might experience from time to time.
