  1. If you have the tools I would then check that the injectors are squirting diesel Remove one and its associated pipework then reconnect up with it not in the head ie loose in the engine compartment ( I dont know if you have enough room to do this ) Wrap a few of those ziploc lunch bags around it to stop any fuel from spraying around the engine compartment and crank the engine and check that fuel ends up in the bag
  2. Diesel motor only needs two things to start, fuel and compression, although when cold glow plugs will help with the combustion process. Is the injector pump timing 100% correct
  3. Hi, would a 2003 ( pre facelift ) brochure do?

Ah, OK that would explain it.

I was interested in the radio, Is it still available?

I have taken the radio off for sale for the time being as I am back using my car. It will most likely be back up in a few months. But at this stage, it is not for sale.

  5. Might be worth disconnecting then reconnecting the battery so the car's ECU resets itself and relearns your driving style.
  6. Hi Dmitri, if you listed the model # of your car someone might be able to help eg ACR53 this will be on the Toyota build plate Cheers
  7. Hi, I think ther radio Kiloxray has might be a US radio. All the Aus radio PINs I have run across ( only 5 mind you ) have only been 3 digits
  8. You are up for about $ 300 - 400 for the bearings and seals ( parts only ) if you want to replace all of them. If you are lucky it may just be the diff bearings (90366-40094 & 90366-40097) (Superceded part numbers BTW) which will cost you about $120 and a 2 month wait from Toyota Aus or about 1/2 price from the US/ Japan however your main cost will be labour - getting the box out of the car, repairing it then putting it back in. If the box is original probably worthwhile replacing the clutch whille the box is out.
  9. Hi, the control unit for remote locking ( with teardrop fob ) is located in either the pasenger or driver kick panel or close to it. From memory I think it was in the drivers side one. It is a black box about 100 x 100 x 30 mm I have instructions at home and will try and find them.
  10. Check if your Corolla has a speedo cable or electronic speedo. I think yours should be electronic, but this will affect the type of kit you get as most kits just tap into the speed signal. Most after-market kits will also require an extra stalk which can look quite ugly. If you want an idea about bits I have an aftermarket kit which I could post pictures of, or you could look at.
  11. or could I change the body of the 4runner onto the chassis of the hi lux Had a mate who did this on an YN65 model. Body did fit but he had to relocate several of the body/chassis mounting points
  12. I would hazard a guess that the problem is with the actuator. If one of the inputs ( wheel rotation signal ) was missing or bad you would get the ABS MIL lighting up. Would probably say a sticking valve for the wheel that locked up. Don't think you can test this yourself as you might need the Toyota diagnostic tool to tell the ABS to go into test mode.
  13. If it looks like a SCART port it is probably the DLC ( Diagnostic Link Connector ) ( White connector ) This is needed to diagnose engine/ECU problems but should be mounted up near the hood release. Is yours loose?
