  1. Thanks. Is it 91 or 95 octane E10 you use, as the manual recommends 95, which Woolworths petrol stations don't sell.
  2. So my manual says to use minimum 95 octane, and a sticker on the petrol cap says e10 is OK. But at Woolies (in Qld) their E10 is 91 octane, and I can't find anyone selling a 95 octane E10, hence I'm having to use Premium 95 Unleaded, which is about 10c/l more expensive than regular 91 Unleaded. Any suggestions?
  3. I have a 2012 Prius Hybrid, and in the manual it recommends 95 octane, however it can take e10. As Premium 95 octane is about 10c/l more expensive than 91 regular unleaded, I would ideally like to find an e10 that's 95 octane, but can't (I'm in Qld). Woollies E10 is 91, and Coles e10 might be 93 but can't confirm this. Anyone help with this? I read that when you add ethanol to petrl it raises the octane level, so that means Woolies must have been below 91 octane before they added the ethanol. PS. What is the recommended fuel for the Camry hybrid, and if it's different, why?
  4. Unfortunately I haven't found anyone who has put a 3rd party system in. Have you any recommendations of any systems that do work properly? Toyota said their unit would be about $2000-$3,000!!! One of the Chinese companies said if you paid US$25 more they'd guarantee it, and pay for return postage if it didn't work, which I thought was reasonable.
  5. 2012 Prius manual says use Premium Unleaded. Inside petrol cap says E10 is also suitable. Dealer says he wouldn't put E10 in anything he owns, even a lawnmower Toyota Australia said that the only reason that Premium Unleaded was mentioned, was that this was a common 95 octane fuel used in many countries, whereas 91 unleaded wasn't, but wouldn't say if you could use E10 or regular 91 unleaded, instead he referred me to my dealer. What's the truth?
  6. Just got a 2012 Prius ZVW30R. Has a nice dash touch screen that you can use for rear camera, and a button for SatNav but no Sat Nav. I was told that Fujitsu no longer supplied them to Toyota in Australia, but all I needed was the CD as the GPS smarts were already in the unit. Is this true? And if so, where can I get the CD, and are there updates available? It seems a shame to have this nice screen, and yet have to go out and buy a Tom Tom or similar. The current unit is a JBL Greenedge. I rang Toyota Australia and they said they thought a replacement unit would be about $2-3,000!!! I've seen some on eBay for about $1400, and some Chinese ones (Vigo and Xudox) for $450-850, has anyone used any of these?
  7. How did you go with this as I'm in the same boat? I've just bought a 2012 Prius ZVW30R and it has the 7" touch screen with a button marked SatNav. But the salesman said that Toyota no longer had a SatNav accessory as Fujitsu stopped supplying it to them. So I have a pretty screen and reversing camera, but don't know what to do to get SatNav working (or whether the GPS circuitry is in the unit or not). The salesman said that all I needed was the CD with the maps on it, but I'm very suspicious of this.
