I would imagine that it voids the warranty. It would be best to call up Toyota's head office and have a chat though. Maybe they can advise you on certain garages where they can carry out the work without voiding it.
I can imagine that will be pricey to replace. I guess breaking for parts will prove the most lucrative and worthwhile way for an enthusiast. Sorry to hear it's broken though :(
