  1. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone out there has done a heated mirror mod/install on a xv40 aurion before? I have an 08 aurion sportivo, and in the colder months the mirrors fog up so bad to where i can't see a thing at all so id like to install heated mirrors if its possible, can be either a direct replacement or a diy kit, i do electrical work for a living so wiring is not an issue at all for me :) just like to know if its been done before Thanks in advance, Alan
  2. I have a Kincrome one i brough from my local autopro store, little pricey if i remember it was around the $40ish mark, but it makes getting tight filter off easy work so its worth it :)
  3. no worries camrolla, glad to be of help i'd give toyota a ring and see what they say about getting a new one, do see why you shouldn't be able to
  4. - led courtesy lights in the doors, mirrors, roof lights and boot - tinted windows - audio upgrade that's about all I can think of that you've missed
  5. should be 5 stickers all up - driver B pillar has tyre sizes and an air bag sticker - passenger B pillar should have an air bag sticker and a chassis sticker with build date ect - passenger C pillar has the other chassis sticker with vin number ect - chassis number is stamper under the drivers seat under a rectangle plastic trim I think manufactures went to stickers to avoid vehicle rebirthing, and with stickers you print it off and stick it on where ever, no messing around with rivets and finding somewhere in the engine bay to mount it as no real visible place to mount them in the aurion's engine bay if one is missing i don't why toyota can't order a copy in?
  6. ok i'll just put up with the clunking noise after going through a tank and a half with no change i did a ecu soft reset, filled the tank up and its dropped right down to 8.6L per 100 within 10 minutes of driving :D
  7. Hi all, I own a silver 2008 aurion sportivo sx6 with a sunroof :) i brought the car a bit over 9 months ago from toyota and i'm rather pleased with it so far but iv got a couple of questions i'm hoping someone can answer. first up is about fuel consumption, friday just past i had the car dropped off for its 90,000k service (not through toyota), prior to this the fuel consumption was anywhere from 9.6 to 11L per 100 and the tank was lasting anywhere form 550-640k's depending on how i drove, after i got the car back from being serviced its now saying i'm using 13.5L+ per 100 but telling me a tank is lasting me anywhere from 620 to 640k's on average. second is a clunking noise, when i leave for work in the morning a reverse out my driveway, put the car in 'D' and drive off, when it changes gears it makes a clunk noise, it sounds like its coming from around front drivers side wheel area, it does it after i'v revered and for the first gear change only, it does not do it any other time. has anyone come any of these issues before and found answers? cheers
  8. i fitted on the outer day, after being quoted $110 at my local autopro store with discount i ended up getting the one in the link below off ebay for $78.75 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=271224567455 haven't noticed and differences, fuel economy hasn't changed, mainly got it longevity and cleanable/reusable
  9. little confused, first you say dash rattle then you change it to a gear box cover rattle??? do you mean center console maybe?
  10. Maybe interested, Whats the reason for sale and do they make a droney note or is it purely awesomeness as described
  11. it can all be done using the stock head unit, iv done it in my 08 sportivo i have done mine on the cheap till i can afford a new head unit but my current setup consists of alpine type s 6x9" speakers in the front and rear, one alpine type s 12" sub in the boot all running off a kenwood kac-749s amp under the passenger seat, that is all controlled off the factory head unit. i also did the aux input mod and it'll do for now lucky for me my amp has a speaker input and i managed to track down the input cable so just tapped into the wires behind the head unit so i didn't need any bulky line filters
  12. i went to fit camber adjusting bushes to mine but didn't get them in as it was to much effort doing it without a press, and i ran out of time to do it the right and easy way you will need a press to get the old ones out and the new ones in i don't know if the control arms are off an aurion but this guy done a how to write up as a diy job http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=154137 hope this helps
  13. going with a reece hitch type thats for sure, best quote so far is $690 (parts only) for a full kit with everything then will fit it myself
  14. i tried it once and i don't recommend it, it gets pretty uncontrollable, play it was leave the TC on and go easy on the right foot is all i can say
  15. sorry to drag up an old thread myself but how is eonon head unit going, is it still worth buying one?
