  1. So last night it appears that when I flashed my headlights the dipped lights went out. It's only intermittently doing it at this stage. I did a quick google and suspect it's likely to be the headlight switch/stalk. How easy is this to replace? Is it worth getting it done at Dealership? I've replaced one previously on an older car and was quite simple Just not sure on this one. In the meantime I managed to take sandpaper to the contacts on the switch hoping it's a quick fix. 2006 Yaris is the car, don't suppose there was a recall for this 😃 Thanks in advance
  2. Hi Guys, Looking at purchasing a 2003 Avensis GLX Verso with 227K KM on the clock. I've been looking at many 7 seater but mainly Honda Ody or Avensis,I just want to confirm I'm right in my thoughts that the Avensis is timing chain, April 2003 compliance? Anything specific i need to check for this model?
  3. Hey folks, looking at getting an Avensis, what I need to know is if it is timing belt or chain.. Mixed messages. And if belt would this be 150k replacement.
  4. Thanks Alan - geez that's pretty good mileage. Hopefully many more to come :)
  5. Err thanks but that doesn't answer the question. The point is to HARDWIRE it in and for that need 2 power sources. All good found my own answer - add-a-circuit available from Supercheap is just the answer - allows a fused circuit to be taped into the fuseblock. Bonus = hidden wires, professional installation and ability to remove easily if needed.
  6. Hi, I'm in the process of installing a dashcam on the old girl and I'm using the blackvue magic pro which uses 3 wires. What I am after (somewhere behind the glovebox) is a permanent live source wire and one that is ACC (comes on with the ignition only). This si so I can take advantage of the parking mode and not worry about a flat battery. any help please?
  7. Just saying g'day. Brought a 1993 Camry last week as a new run-around car. Only got 116xxx on the clock and pretty clean car.
