  1. I have an alpine head unit with camera input and 3 aerpro wiring harnesses. One to control via the steering wheel (all buttons work) and one to go from alpine to iso and iso to toyota. It all fits in the dash but you nay need some spacers for the fascia. Mine is a 2009 and Toyota use extra wide cutouts for the head unit. As far as reverse - its a different wiring layout so without proper instruction i didnt touch it. Next time i have the fascia off ill wire a front facing camera in. Much more useful as i have no front sensors.
  2. No - well not on a 2009. I installed an aftermarket Alpine unit. I think it is able to stream music once you get to the facelifted models in around 2010.
  3. It's pretty straight forward - there are a number of youtube videos and step by step instructionals, including one on this site for removal of dash/trim/surrounds. If you look at replacing the stereo system it gets you headed in the right direction. I pulled this bit out and wired a USB port into the centre console for my ipod connection. If you're only removing this part then you take out the heated seats and 12v panel and then remove the gear surround. Good luck!

    Heated Mirrors

I have a 2009 KX-S and was wondering if anybody has tried or knows whether heated mirrors (genuine Highlander parts) from the US/Canada are a plug and play option for the Australian Klugers? Being in Tassie, it's one of the things I noticed moving from the VW that I miss. Frosty mornings aren't a lot of fun. I like the idea that I press the rear window heater and it does the mirrors too. Has anybody modded their own? I've watched some youtube of DIY kits etc and to be honest I can't be bothered with all that - creating relays and switches. If the wiring harness is standard and it's only the actual mirror assemblies that are different it may be worth importing some from the States. Do the Grande's have heated mirrors? Cheers Jimma
