  1. Hi all. just had a read about led running lights. I bought some lad strips from jaycar electronics a year ago, they did the job, but did not look the part. so I found a pack in the autobarn shop in Adelaide, two leds, wiring harness, and a e.c.u. as I have a 2012 camry I found that the lights just fitted in the vent slots below the main grill.as the light units have provision for bolts I just made up eight fingers of 3mm alloy, long enough to hold the fitting onto the grill, and with the alloy having provision for the bolts, job done. wiring from the e.c.u was easy. Headlights on leds off, as it is the law. you just have to find an ignition source, which is close by in the fuse box.For less than $90 a good buy.I also have installed four led door seals bought from aliexpress for $50, just like the real Toyota parts, but much cheaper, but not in looks. these were fitted, and wired into the dome light, yes open one door and the all come on, but its only leds, they do not drain the power as much. On the subject of leds, I found it was cheaper to buy led replacement globes from jaycar than the usual auto shops, and it was where I found the blue led strips for my floor lighting, bought two packs for $28, and now have floor lighting front and rear. I did look at the Toyota parts, but the cost was just to much.regards to you all
  2. HI all.has anyone replaced the lamps in the centre radio and control consol of a 2012 camry. I would like to change the lamp colours from green to blue. I know how to take the part out, but is it easy to change the globes ( T10 ) I have blue floor lighting and would like to enhance the air/con controls and radio stack as well.

JUST BEEN READING ABOUT FOOT WELL LIGHTS. I PURCHASED MINE THROUGH JAYCAR, 150mm LONG BY TWO PACKS CAME TO $25. WIRE I HAD IN WORKSHOP, SO INSTALLED WIRE FROM DOME LIGHT TO BACK SEAT, AND MADE ALL CONNECTIONS THERE. FITTED TWO ON CARPET UNDER REAR SEAT, AND TWO IN FRONT WELLS. MUST SAY IT LOOKS GREAT AT NIGHT. TOYOTA WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME $180, JUST FOR THE LIGHTS. SO BLUE LIGHTING FOR $25. bargain!.
