  1. Hey guys, just wondering if others have noticed by how much your speedo is out by. I have a 2010 cruiser L and the speedo is reading 6km/h too fast (by GPS) which is quite a lot when you start working it out over 100,000Km not to mention being annoying. I've put different size tyres on now 225/55/18 and it has reduced it to around 4km/h (too fast). I also own a FG Falcon and the speedo in that is spot on, so they can do it if they want to, so why is the RAV so far out? Is this common in the RAV?
  2. Guys the squeak comes from the rear door latch guide. If you look at the rear door latch there is two parts, the lock and a guide, get some adhesive foam(foam with a sticky backing) and stick the foam around the guide and the squeak will disappear.
  3. Actually DRL should come on with the ign. and turn off with either the ign. OR when parkers H/lights on (unless they are dimming DRL's). I always wire my DRL's to go off with parkers/ H/lights on and I'm pretty sure it's an ADR rule. It's not nice to be on the receiving end at night to be blinded by someones DRL's that are wired up wrong with just ign.
  4. Hi guys I've got a 2010 Rav4 cruiser L with 110,000K's which I bought nearly 12 months ago and I too am very surprised at the poor fuel economy it gets. For a 2.4L 4 cyl. I was expecting somewhere around the 600-650km/tank but can only manage 500Km maybe 550Km on a trip. I also have a FG Falcon with a 4.0L motor and has only a 5 litres larger fuel tank, weighs about the same as the Rav and I can manage 750-800Km/ tank on a trip, so that 4wd system has a lot to answer for. When you start to compare it with engines double it's size you start scratching your head and ask why does it use so much fuel. To be fair the Falcon is a 6 speed and at 100Km/h is just ticking over at 1800rpm, as the Rav is revving a bit harder and kicks back a gear on the slightest hill, as the Falcon will climb hills in top gear, it's all about torque....224Nm V 400Nm.
