  1. Ive been told that a shape change is now overdue and the dealer is expecting 2017 as a guide but nothing formally known. Not sure what they could do though. They should make it more efficient. Retrospectively also, I'm dreaming of course.
  2. Not much of a community out there. Expected at least a point of view from someone i 2 months. In answer to my own question and in the interest of the landcruuser community it can be done. Not with a totally new steering wheel but purchasing new parts with buttons that fit on the grey plastic parts that are either side of the horn/airbag in the centre of the steering wheel. Side comment-toyota horns on the landcruiser are crap, the beeeep doesn't fit in with the look of the car at all, I'm almost embarred to use it on the rare occasions i have had to. Beeeep lol Back the the ateering wheel ---------------Cost approx $500 to buy and install by a auto electrician. Any thoughts if this is expensive? Come on community who has a constructive response?
  3. Frustrating and a poor money grab in my view. These items are not that expensive these days surely for the price we pay it should be standard as a safety item. Is it an easy retro fit? Surely all the wiring is just from the steering column to the radio head unit via a jack that plugs in? This would mean purchasing a new steering wheel and having it fitted. Please lift your game toyota.
  4. I have a VX 2008 landcruiser. I would like to change the steering wheel over from original steering wheel to a later one with buttons so i can use it on a 2012 sat nav stereo. Would the wiring support this. Is it a case of purchasing the wheel and wiring and plugging both in? I have seen how to replace the old satnav with a new up to date one in a sahara (as this had all the buttons i would like) and it wasn't too hard as long as the steering wheel had all the wiring it all just plugged in.
