  1. Hi all, I have a 89 hilux 2.4 diesel, 2wd, with a 2.8 diesel throttle body on it. Im chasing a little bit more fuel economy - with my new job entailing long drives. it does 3100rpm at 110km/h with an economy of 8 litres/100km, I know this is good, but its maximum torque is around 2200rpm. So i am thinking of changing the diff to a 3.7 from the 4.1 that is currently installed. Aim is to bring the highway rpm down and to get closer to the maximum torque range of 2200rpm. Thoughts? Would this be a good move?
