Hey all, im new around here and own an ln167 2000 hilux.
looking at buying a xrox bar off of a mate, but it has been pulled off of a 91 surf.. is there any difference between them? i understand n167 goes from 97-05 in hilux models.. but how do the surf models run im similarity to the hilux?
other question is.. i have turbo charged the 5l diesel in my ln167.. running 7psi boost and it is absolutely gutless STILL.. i am going to do a snorkel and 3'' turbo back exhaust to help it breath a little, and im also contemplating getting the injectors refurbed to suit boost, as well as the injector pump, running top mount with around 15psi boost.. has anyone else done anything like this? how does the hilux go? sick of peak hour traffic struggles! -- it was dyno tuned by MTQ, it made a pathetic 130 nm torque (or around about) and a pathetic 50 odd KW (i understand these are taken in RWD, not 4WD).. surely it should be performing better than this? DTS turbo kit running td04 turbo.
also what are peoples ln167 5l diesel's like on fuel? 1 tank id be pushing to get 400ks .. is it because its a crap tune? .. what do i do! - getting to the stage of selling it and going to a patrol!
