Thanks for that, I ended up purchasing a 2016 in late December. Its a metallic white with leather. Drove the family up to the Gold Coast and back to Hobart over xmas holidays and didn't miss a beat. Voice recognition is a bit clunky, has a hard time understanding commands, maybe the software update will sort it out. Same with the transmission, some times tends to hold a too higher gear when turning around a corner. Tomorrow is going for the 10k service. Fuel consumption is getting better and better it started at 10.5L/100km and now is down to 9L/100km as motor loosens up. Thats my son Ewan playing silly buggers.

Thanks Manxman, that is why I am waiting to the 2017 model as it will probably have a few fixes. I will be using it for work, I am not rich I am a builder and work has been good and need another vehicle and don't want to buy someone else's problems. My first new car, I am going to keep for a long time so not worried about depreciation.

Hi all, my first post here. Does anyone know when the 2017 Hilux will be announced/released? I am wanting to buy a new SR5 and I thought I might wait until the 2017 model as there probably be a fix or two and or add ons. Thanks
