  1. Yes I replaced the regulator o ring with a genuine one, the fuel pump o ring from ryco as supplied with filter (as seen in pic) and that's it i haven't changed the one that mounts for tank to sender is there another o ring??
  2. Ok update. pulled out the sender and pump unit again and changed the fuel reg/dampener what ever it is next to the pump and changed the o ring on it with a genuine one. installed pump and sender unit back into tank and started car car started second go (didn't prime it before trying) then started and drove fine. parked it up over night and tried it the next day and it started.........yay turned it off and left it to next day. and it DIDNT START!!!!!!! So so over this car now. Anyone had this problem or any ideas what it could be? I'm thinking I might install a pressure gauge on and see what pressure I am getting to the engine. Anyone know what fuel pressure I should see? Thinking around 30-40psi????
  3. Yes only been since changing fuel filter. i changed the oring in the pump as shown in above pics but not the reg (that's in the filter assembly) or Dampier what ever it is. i got a o ring here I will try it. it starts as soon as I pull the pump/sender unit out of the tank then the next day it won't start again. i tried for about an hour yesterday to start it and it just winds over and coughs but won't start i pulled off the line at the motor and it had fuel coming out of it when cranking. i pulled plugs out and they had spark
  4. Ok bit of a update i pulled the fuel line off at the engine side and it is getting fuel, had a constant stream of fuel ***** out. so I am thinking maybe it is a crank angle sensor. But then I pulled out the spark plugs out of the cylinder and connected them to the coil and wound it over and it sparked..........
  5. This is what is supplied from ryco and replaced
  6. Yes I pulled the original o ring off and the plastic tip and fitted that rubber bush supplied by ryco with the filter but that's the only one they give you so I didn't replace any other o ring (regulator)
  7. What was the results of this???
  8. And it can't be fitted on top as it would be too big so I had to remove the o ring and the plastic tip and fit the bush
  9. This is the rubber bush supplied with filter as u can see the fuel pump is different it just has a normal o ring
  10. Hi there guys I changed the fuel filter on a 2003 Camry 2.4L with a Ryco Z646 filter now when I got it apart I seen the fuel pump had a oring and a plastic tip on it where it goes into the filter and the new ryco filter didn't come with any new o rings except for a big rubber bush. now because it was different I didn't replace the o ring and fitted the fuel pump back to the new filter and put it back in the tank. now the car started and drove around for that day. Now went to start it next day and it won't start. It wants to start and coughs but won't run. now I rang ryco and asked them what the go is and they said the bush replaces the o ring and the plastic tip so remove them and fit the bush. so I pulled the pump and filter out of the tank again and done that. now it started when I put it back in and ran for about 15 min. Went nt to start it again he next day and now it won't start again. has anyone had this happen or know what on earth could be the problem? is there any other o rings that should be on this? Now it doesn't have a return to tank that I can see as on the fuel pump cover that comes out under the seat only has one hose a 90° fitting and a wiring connector. is there meant to be a o ring on the outlet hose from the fuel pump assembly when installed in the car that goes to the engine? also is there only 1 o ring on the fuel regulato? has anyone got a parts break down of the fuel pump sender/pump diagram? can anyone help me out as this is racking my head and I can not think of anything else. Has anyone us this before or seen this or even know of anything to try?
