  1. Hi All, I have been looking into this for some time now; have asked around at Toyota service centres and also the spare parts centre for exchange of a Toyota Avalon air cabin filter. The technicians at Toyota service had mentioned this particular model didn't come with an air filter, I also asked spare parts and mentioned they have never sold a cabin air filter for that particular Toyota model and make. Still not 100% convinced with there answer, I decided to further investigate and take out the glove compartment and only to realise there is no cabin filter. I do have a mouldy smell coming through the air condition vents and would be interested to hear if anyone has been able to treat the smell with the intake sprays available. I have heard Lysol is great for getting ride out air conditioning odours although they do recommend taking the air cabin filter out during treatment. Has anyone tried any spays on a 2000 - 2006 Avalon. Toyota do sell a spray although it is $60.00 while the remainder I have looked at are 8 to 14 dollars. The air cabin filter got introduced on the Aurion from 2006 and onward.
