Thank you for the reply. I thought it was the bearings to, but when I took it to the mechanic he checked them and said there were all tight, and couldn't see anything wrong, power wise it seems ok, I haven't checked the turbo yet that's nxt on my list.

Hi I have a 2007 rwd hilux, I have a whining noise coming from the engine, I can hear it as soon as I turn on the car, and when I'm just idoling, when i accelerate it gets hi piched , when in 4th it not as noticeable, I've taken it to the mechanic and they don't have a clue, if someone has had this issue and can help me that would be great.
