  1. Thanks for the amayama tip, they have them but $70us is a bit much I think. It might have to be the wreckers but propably a good chance they will be in the same shape. I will spend some time on google hoping to get lucky.
  2. I am in the process of sorting out my mum's old ae92 seca for roadworthy and put it up for sale, personally I would sell it as is but mum is attached to it and wants it to go to a new home so I have to fix a few annoying problems first. One thing that is hard to find is a Thermostatic valve hot air intake Part #1772816010. It's the little plastic vacuum valve that sits in the air cleaner housing and operates the flap that allows hot air into intake or not when it is warm. Not really critical but nice if it works, right now it always leaves it sucking hot air, always. Genuine says it is a discontinued part but I was hoping there is a aftermarket replacement available that someone might know about. Tempted to unhook it but thought I would see if one could be found. Second problem is it runs beautifully when cold but as the gauge gets to operating temp something is switching on or off(not choke) and all of a sudden it has a rough flat spot which struggles to get the revs up. It is a carbied 4a auto that has been well looked after and could be a sensor somewhere. I haven't had this problem before and was thinking it could be a common thing that you guys might be able to point me in the right direction. A new set of leads is also planned just in case. First time I have had to work on a 4a so any common problems they have are new to me. Appreciate any help, Cheers
  3. Hi everyone, First post here and probably a few more as I try to get my mum's old seca roadworthied and sold. I have had a few hiluxes and a corolla wagon so appreciate the reliability of toyota's and hope a few people can help me sort out a ae92 seca which I will go into with posts in the appropriate sections. Forums like this are very helpful with annoying problems and the experience some of you will have will be very much appreciated. Cheers
