  1. In the real world, these cars are slow. They are not a performance car. Just drive and enjoy & look after it, and it will reward you with years of reliability.
  2. Nice work mate I had all my pulleys & belt done by my mechanic, it didnt look like a fun job. They did give me back my new tensioner assembly, stating that only the pulley from it was needed, as the rest required water pump removal i believe?
  3. Good luck. They were plentiful on ebay a couple years back, now nothing. Both of mine are cracked from attempting to open & reseal them, after the factory adhesive deteriorated. Manufacturing has changed last couple years. NOS parts are disappearing fast.
  4. Ive seen a few people fit the 19" kluger rims. However, from what i can see, the kluger (7.5" wide) wheel offset is 30mm, and aurion (7" wide) wheel is 45mm, so if my maths is correct, the kluger wheel will poke out 27mm more than the factory sportivo. I cannot tell you if that will cause issues or not sorry. The tyre size you would run for this wheel is 225/40/19 or 235/40/19 https://tiresize.com/calculator/ I ended up fitting 18" CHR rims which are 7" wide, with a 50mm offset. Perfect fit. I originally used 235/45/18" to keep the exact same rolling diameter as factory, but with mine being on lowered springs, i found 225/45/18 eliminated tyre scrubbing https://www.wheel-size.com/size/toyota/aurion/2007/#region-audm https://www.wheel-size.com/size/toyota/kluger/2015/#region-audm https://www.wheel-size.com/size/toyota/c-hr/2018/ Im not sure how people are using aftermarket rims because ive found the toyota uses an extended shank style wheel nut with shorter studs. When trying on other rims i found conical wheel nuts didnt have enough turns to safely grip the thread on the studs
  5. Toyota were quick to find that the previous mechanic had fitted one of the wheel sensors "incorrectly" Glad was fixed, but at my expense left a bad taste in my mouth 🤦‍♂️
  6. No, car was stationary. So my regular mechanic spent the day checking it out to no avail unfortunately 😩 Will book it into toyota
  7. So not long ago had both cv shafts replaced & car was driving beautifully again. Washed the car couple days ago, and by coincidence (?) when slowing down to a stop, at about 5kph the brake pedal violently shudders for a couple seconds as the car finally stops, almost feels like traction control kicking in Thinking it might be a failing transmission, I downshifted shifted manually into first & the noise still appeared, so I'm leaning towards the abs system, sensor etc but I know nothing of this.
  8. Sounds like the rear mufflers u had fitted are too quiet. In that case get the centre resonator removed & replace 3rd cat with a cheap 100cpsi version. Doing this will let a bit more white noise though, creating a throaty burble.
  9. Deleting the resonator on a stock exhaust wont do much. I wouldnt fit a hot dog
  10. Yeah the plug from the wrecked car that goes to the passenger seat will make it easier to wire up
  11. Ive put zr6 power seats in my touring. Getting the wiring plug for the passenger side will make things easier.
  12. Upper grille & foglight surrounds done. Looks sleeker & more modern i reckon. Photos dont reveal much with this crap weather.
  13. on ebay, the surrounds looked like they might have brackets which are screwed on? I wasnt sure so i did it the hard way haha. Will take a better pic another time. I think it looks much nicer. Honestly thinking about doin the grille as well. Might need to photoshop first...
