  1. stv-borg........ I was wondering on how much are you wanting for the car as i will probably know someone who would be interested in buying the car, is the car running and in a decent condition, would there be a lot of work to do to get the car in good condition.
  2. catch up with u another day when i figure out how to post notes, good luck with it,theres heaps of other owners who would be good for info

  3. afraid tey're no hotrod, rather a workhorse with a low ratio gearbox, good for hauling heavy loads at lower speeds, suit brickies etc. Also very stiffly sprung to cope with the load,so you'll bounce around like whatever unless u've got something heavy in the back

  4. it that I prob wouln't b much help, other than maybe aworkshop manual for reference if it applied to your model, mines a 77 and not sure what my manual covers.

  5. how's it going mands?had to replyas your remark about performance gave me a giggle...and pls excuse my slack typing otherwise i'd be here forever.I used to drive a stout many years ago, still have it and a spare, and sadly it has sat in the weather also for many years, full of junk and is so deteriorated that its really only good for parts. Been so many years since I've done any work on

  6. me and my mum have found a 1964 toyota stout, its a bit rought around the edges and is not running. due to the lack of care of a classic, it was originally used as a work horse for farming. the car has a lot of potental and class. the previous owner was going to send the car to the scrap yard but we intersepted him in the process and snap the car up for a resonable price although being left in the weather doing nothing for the last 30 years, so you can under stand the condition of the vehicle. it's not a bad project for us, we've always had a soft spot classics. we will be posting photo's of the car on the forum letting all of you guys know how the work is going. hope to get some advice on how i can approch certain areas on the process of resteration but with being only 25 i also have a mind of performance as well, thats all the information we have at the moment but will keep posted.
