  1. Hi Guys, I have a 2010 camry hybrid. I would like to upgrade my low beam lights to LED. I was looking at this item: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/H7-LED-Headlight-Bulbs-Conversion-Kit-Super-Bright-White-Headlamp-Toyota-Camry-/351632664674?hash=item51def0a862:g:h-sAAOSw44BYHUmh Has anyone done this before? if so please let me know how it is. Also advice on installation would be appreciated. Thank you.
  2. Hi All, I can hear what appears to be a chirping/cricket like noise coming for the rear area of my camry 2010 hybrid. Its faint but it gets annoying after a while. It does not occur when car is stationary, only when it is moving forward. Any ideas what it may be ?
  3. Hi All, I have a 2010 Tarago and the brake lights on one side don't come on. They are in a cluster of LEDs that come on when the headlights are turned on, just brighter when the brakes are pressed. These are the ones that are on the main body of the vehicle, as opposed to the boot. Incidentally, this seems to be the same side that the towbar wiring has been spliced into. I'm just wondering what could be the issue and whether this has to go back to Toyota to fix or can I just replace a fuse (or probably an expensive black box) to get them working again for a rego check. The LEDs come on when the headlights are turned on, but don't go brighter (like the other side does) when the brake is pressed. I've had a look at fuses that I can find in the foot area on the driver and passenger sides, but the labels are a little cryptic so I'm just guessing which ones to check. I'm about to pull every one out and individually check them all. Does anyone have any clues on what to check??? Thanks in advance.
  4. Kluger automatic transmission terrors

Hi All, Anyone have any preknowledge of this problem, Was driving up the M1 the other day and going up a hill in my 2010 kluger AWD and as it was about to change to a lower gear to get up the hill it had a hissy fit, couldnt decide what gear to take and stayed in the top most gear, basically it felt like I was trying to go up a hill in neutral, pulled off to side of road, stopped engine and restarted , went to accelerate into traffic and couldn't even get it past 40km/h, pulled into an emergency telephone and requested a tow. Car had no pre warning, no dash lights and engine was running fine, in fact I left the car idling for the 3 1/2 hrs it took to get us picked up. Any ideas? besides an expensive issue???? Thanks
  5. Have bought and owned an Aurion Touring 2010 for a little over a month now and thought i should share my thoughts. 64k on the clock. Next to new condition in and out. People say it's just an ATX with a couple of extra features, but they are wrong. The car is a Prodigy only missing leather seats and the electric sunshade! All the extra's you'd want for the money you're spending. On top of the AT-X feature list, things like reverse camera, parking sensors, Rain sensing wipers, rear spoiler, Sportivo tail lights, full trip computer, electro-chromatic rear-view mirror (auto dimming), and fog lamps, really hit the spot and knock competitor cars right off the charts (and i can keep going). Engine is perfect, really goes when you want it to, and is the most cruisiest car at low speeds. Transmission at times may take an extra millisecond to respond when floored, but the 2GR-FE will make up for it when you're passing the other car/s. The 200kw do not stay hidden. Clocked at 6.8 seconds 0 – 100 (stock, for now) I have found that tip-tronic can be slightly hesitant. There are aftermarket options to give it an extra kick (not that it really needs it) such as a High flow air filter or exhaust system. i've read that just by using 98 fuel you can add 6kw of power. Traction will kick in if you floor it from a stop, but i've found that if you control your foot and take the pedal down more slowly and gradually, you won't spin out. It's something to get used to coming from an AWD Kluger, but very worth it. Fuel economy is decent, i can average 10 to 11 L/100km in stop start traffic and suburban areas, and can get as low as 7 L/100km on long distance highway trips (Sydney to Bathurst is my frequent). For a stock standard audio system, it really is impressive. Great bass, and the massive front tweakers don't go missed. The bad (luckily most of these are fixable): – Touring wheels were not appealing to me at all, i have changed to a set of pre-owned almost new condition SX6/ ZR6 rims running on Michelin Energy's – When i upgraded the gear selector lights to LED, a nasty creaking noise started to come from the cup-holder plastics rubbing against each other when turning and accelerating/ decelerating – a spray of Inox lubricant on all joints stopped this immediately (just leave you're windows open for a while) – The notorious 'pull to the left' issue – funny enough my mechanic did all he could to get rid of this and could only improve it (with old wheels). When i changed to the Sportivo wheels, it completely went away, tested at all speeds alignment is 100% in line (and i installed the new wheels myself, pumped to 40psi front and back). – Stock interior lighting is shocking, especially the ***** poor boot light. I have upgraded any and all lighting to LED (dome, door lights, headlights, reverse lights, centre console lights, parkers, glovebox, you name it) I've even added the LED DRL fog light housing replacement, and they really look great. – Rear-view mirror rattles/ loose – a single bolt needs to be tightened which is against the glass on the arm of the mirror itself. – The bluetooth audio can be a bit shoddy with iPhones, but most of the time works fine. No Siri funtionality at all. If you try and use Siri while driving, the system will disconnect your phone after Siri does what you say. All in all, it is a dream to drive with miniscule issues that can be fixed. Comfortable, spacious, and smooth and decent looking ride. Not a supercar, but close enough.
  6. Hey guys, Got a 2010 zre152r Corolla Ascent, was hoping someone could give me hand/drop some knowledge on the subject for me. I'm looking to lower my corolla ascent, can anyone recommend a good brand that will suit? (dealt with King Springs in the past and was told they don't cater to a 2010 Corolla) If so, can you give me some/if any past experiences on the subject? Brand? Install time? Would also love to see what others have done! Any help would be awesome. Cheers.
  7. Fuel Consumption

From Canberra to NSW Central Coast, up and over the great dividing range. Yeah have to be happy with this.
  8. Hi, Has anyone ever had a creaking Parcel Shelf that sounds like a "gieger counter". I told my Toyota Service dealer and they have been great trying to fix the problem twice, gave me a courtesy car for the day, and tried to fix the problem out of warranty and at Toyota's expense, which shows they take issues seriously. However it is a HIT AND MISS problem that seems to come and go, last time i stopped it was by putting a small dowel stick in the boot under the parcel sheft 45' degree angled towards the drivers side parcelf shelf corner. The video files would have been to big to upload so i created a mp3, of the noise, any input would be greatly appreciated. Dean Toyota Aurion Touring 2010 - Creaking parcel shelf.mp3
  9. ok so i have just bought a 2010 SR hilux and noticed that the two little front "indicator/parking lights" on the bulbar where damaged, i bought a new set of LED Narva "indicator/parking lights" for both drivers and passenger sides which i installed, once fitted i tested the lights and noticed that the indicators where flashing twice as fast as normal (which i think is because of the different resistance loads?) anyway i just drove around for about a month or two with fast flashing indicators when all of a sudden yesterday morning on my way to work every time indicated the hazard lights would come on! would have a clue why, maybe its because of the new LED front lights?? Cheers love to find the solution
  10. High rev at start up

Hi all! I'm a newbie here. I just bought 2010 Camry Hybrid and wondering if anyone knows if it is normal for Hybrid Camry. When I start the engine (cold start) the fuel economy guage going up to 30L/100km. and I can feel that the petrol engine works quite hard. The engine works for few minutes from start and never be able to go on EV only mode by the time. After few minutes from start, the engine stops and I can drive EV only mode in lower speed. The engine stops after a minute or two from the engine temperature guage becomes normal. Is this normal symptom to warm up the car or should I go to the dealer and ask to fix?
  11. Hi guys, Just purchased. 2010 Toyota Aurion Sportivo ZR6 few weeks ago and love it I had a few questions I was hoping some of you fine people may be able to help me with. 1) What are the Set 1 and 2 buttons which are located near the Parking Sensor enabler/disabler do? 2) how many kms do you guys get from a full tank with 19" low profile (city driving and sometimes freeway) and what petrol do you use? I've only ever used V-Power and I get bout 400. 3) What are some simple inexpensive mods I can do to my car to get a few more kws? Will spend a bit more later on when I'm more financially stable but for now just small mods. 4) Does a TRD engine fit directly into the Non-supercharged chassis? Is it a hard swap and is it worth it? 5) I wanted to get LED bulbs for my headlights. Does anyone know what type of lights are used for the whole headlight? 6) Currently I've got the smaller 5"? Screen for my reverse camera and CD player but I wanted to upgrade to the original GPS/DVD 8" screen. Anyone know if its an easy swap and what the product code for the 8" is? Thanks guys! BTW this is a pic of my car - https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=70D1A910D9F032F3!3159&authkey=!ALNhglxnpwDDEFQ
