Pretty cool process with limitless applications.

Rebs recently just got some interior parts dipped. And they look amazing.

Check em out here.

This is the perfect alt to the dated vinyl option most use now,

I did post a vid here months ago but not much interest back them. But as seen in this new vid... there are some very very cool new trendsetting ideas.

Watched all 14:03 of the video and I'm impressed! I like how the end product comes out glossy. Hydro-dipping would really come in handy with my industrial design course (Adding a pattern to simulate a material beats spray painting for realism IMO.). Need get my uni's faculty of design to look into it!

Edit: Came across MyDipKit. They have a good selection of patterns, but only ship to Canada & within the US. :(

Nice find TF!

yer that kit looks good. It's a cross between the old decals and swirling.

i think it should be looked @ as a DIY application. Cept when clear is needed and in 2k.

Spot on Rebs, hows yours holding up mate?

The clear coat is what will stop most home diy'ers, it's gotta be a 2k for durability,,, simple can acrylics and enamels wont hold up.

Time to blow the cob webs off the old compressor and clean out the guns :) I'm sure i have some 2k clear in stock :D

Merry Xmas mate hope to see ya soon!

John, these wheels were done by Aquadip which I am pretty sure is in Sydney.

Cool, thanks Trent..Ugly looking things ;) that's great because I was curious on how heat would affect the finish. I've seen SR20 cam covers done in a carbon look so if it can handle engine bay temps then I shouldn't have a problem..
