Towing with active height control

Recommended Posts

I have recently purchased(12 mths ago) a 100 series Sahara with active height control and just towed my camper trailer for the first time over Xmas. However I found that I couldn't get it out of the low setting which is only suited to slow(<30km) driving and has a warning in the manual to drive carefully in this mode. Carefull, low and off rd don't mix all the time. The low setting is 50mm lower and with car/trailer weight it was really bogged down in the back.

Is this a common problem and is there anything I can do to avoid it? Suspension upgrades etc

Hi Sword28, I tow a 3 ton caravan with ahc, before putting the van on the ball I raise the AHC to high, I find doing this the system comes into the normal range when I move off.
