Part Number for 2NZFE Dipstick

Hiya everyone,

New to the forum so please go easy on me.

Mum recently gave me the responsibility of servicing her ECHO after she couldn't find any of the cheap lube "2 for the price of 1" services.

I found out the her dipstick was broken, and it was not possible to take a reading for the oil. The car needs to be serviced soon, so if anyone would be kind enough to give me the part number for the dipstick, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks, Kevin

oh my, where do you live ? :o

'No wreckers with two hours from where I live' that I am aware of....

I live in Bundoora, 3083

I think there are quite a few actually, but it's my mums car so i cbs.

Would the dealer know if I just take it there? Dealer is like 15 mins away.

How much does a new dipstick usually cost?

would toyrolla be close to you ?

Hopefully dealer would know, or if they even have it in stock.

Knowing toyota Genuine .. they'll probably gonna rack the price up, this thing should cost no more than $5 imo at a wreckers

Just grab one from the wreckers.

No wreckers within two hours from where I live :(

Hey those plastic dipsticks can be a pain, the first thing I recommend you before buying one is checking the piece of the dipstick that's already broken is not stuck in the car, because when you try to get the new one in there it wont fit. Also I have a site that's great for your problem of distance from the wreckers, the site is:http://www.searchallwreckers.com.au/ you just send us a description of the part you want, and we will send you more than one option so you can choose. The request of parts its totally free and you don't have to give personal information! Take a look i think we can help you a ton!

Ooo thanks for that site, seems quite useful.

I've already submitted a request, we'll see how that goes... :D

And about the dipstick--- if it is still in the car, shouldn't it have already dropped down into the sump? I don't see how it is possible for it to get stuck in a straight tube... Or is there something there that prevents anything from the dipstick tube to go into the sump? Haha, so many questions IDK...
