2008 Sahara Diesel Turbo Charger and 4lo warning

Hi folks, Just started on the big Oz journey here. Got 1 day outa Brisbane and, under Load, (3T Van) the car occasionally throws up a 4lo flashing light and puts the engine into "limp" mode. It was resetting itself but is no longer. When not under load it runs like a dream. I drove from West Wyalong to Canberra, with the trailer on, staying under 80k and it did not trip. It is now being assessed by Toyota. My concern is that the Toyota Protocol points towards a replacement of the turbo charger, a exercise of $ expenditure close to 10 Grand. No guarantee that it will fix the problem and I am not convinced it is the turbo charger but maybe electrical or computer related. Anyone out there have any options for us.
