Suspension Raising Blocks and Longer Shackles

RUM PIG

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I have been looking at getting a set of 2" lifting blocks for my 2012 Hilux 4X4. Which would include lifting packers for the front towers and longer shackles for the rear.

I have already fitted an Old Man Emu suspension which has lifted about 2" but i would like some more as my tires are still touching the guards on lock when entering drives etc, so will give me grieve off road.

I was hoping someone on here has fitted this type of system and was wanting to know if it would be a good thing or a bad thing?.

I'am sure there would be.

If i had the bigger tires i would have that problem for sure, but i was asking about suspension tower raising blocks and shackles. I'am looking at fitting some and wanted to know if anyone else had had success or failure with them?.

Looking back through the forums a number of people have asked without any solid answers.

I understood your original post. I just was curious as to which tyres you were running as I have seen issues in the past of rubbing caused by that.

Depending on state regulations, you may have issues with roadworthiness.

Have you tried newhilux.net? It is a forum dedicated to that platform and may give you more solid answers.
