Ultraracing sway bar - good time for Superpro bushings?

G'day all,

Thinking about buying an Ultra racing sway bar (which by the sounds of it should come standard with the car!). I could be wrong but I think the sway bar comes with new bushings to install?

Are these fine to use or should I 'upgrade' to Superpro bushings instead? There's a guy near me that sells Superpro. I've been very hesitant with buying poly bushings because a lot of people say it ruins the ride (loud, harsh) but from what I understand the Ultra sway bar comes with poly bushings anyway? So should I just buy Superpro ones (presumably higher quality) to match? Worried about squeaking etc I've read on this forum and others

I've already installed good tyres and with the sway bar I'm hoping to find any other handling improvement mods that do not ruin ride quality

Cheers

Run the bushes that came with it, they will be fine.

Any time you increase performance, it is likely that you will decrease comfort. That is a trade off that you need to be aware of when modifying.

Provided that you lubricate the bushings as directed by the manufacturer, you shouldn't end up with increased noise. This is generally a myth left over from the early days of poly bushings.

I upgraded my rear sway bar (ultra racing) and used the bushes that came with it, you need these because the sway bar is a different diameter I think it would be a waste of money fitting other poly bushes to the car. The new bar improved body roll on corners where the car used to lean too much for my liking.

It's a good cheap mod that works, the existing rear sway bar is ridiculously inefficient for such a nice well made vehicle as you point out.
