Will this work with an Aurion 2010 presara and are there better models to consider?

Toyota Camry 8" (2007-2011) - Avant-2 Full Android GPS Navigation System

So it looks like any of these three:

Last one looks the best and easy to get in Australia.

Any thoughts? Any others?

Thanks

David

We installed a Clarion unit to our Presara and it has performed flawlessly..Lots on here have used other units also with success..I am sure you will find the unit you are after..But like most things you get what you pay for.

Do you have a link to an Aurion compatible clarion unit please?

It appears the the three units I mentioned are considered cheap chinese junk according to these forums. I'm not so concerned about price. I just need something that is compatible with my car and that works well.

Im wondering what OS these units have. If its Android then I can go to the google play store and download any app? The Kenwood seems to be android compatible but Im not sure what that means. Basically what is vital is that I can use Google maps, music services such as spotify and pandora, am and fm radio (DAB+ would be good), bluetooth for multiple devices. Obviously it would need to automatically cut into the rear camera when put into reverse. Are these units basically fully functioning touch screen android tablets?

Thanks

David

You will struggle to find any that aren't made in China these days.

It also appears the Clarion has its own navigation system that requires its own maps . I definitely want one that can use google maps as its free and its the best.

Yes the Clarion unit we have has own navigation chip, we added it when we purchased the unit ..I went to Monster Audio and they installed it perfectly..all wheel functions are use-able except has external mic for phone instead of the standard one in the car..as you said money isn't the issue I would recommend visiting a top quality audio store and seeing which unit fits your needs.

Thanks - I figured there are people who can advise and fit the unit to suit my needs. Incar audio in Burwood (melbourne) looks like a good place.

Hi Coby, I think your only hope is someone who is not your mainstream company as the age of the head unit and parts will be the biggest obstacle. If it was me I would be looking at a replacement head unit, you get the latest upgrades and Sat/Nav as well as a quality sound.

Maybe dig around on Facebook for a wrecker who has a unit undamaged for plug and play or look around or advertise on Facebook in your area.

Let us know how things go for you

Hi does anyone know how much it will cost to repair the screen on the stero

Unfortunately there is no option to fix the screens. Once it's damaged, that's it and you'll just have to replace the whole head unit. As Robert mentioned, I'd chase a replacement unit from the used market.
