2005 Kluger Grande HELP

Hi everyone, first time poster. :)

I'm in desperate need of any help that anyone can offer!

 

I have the 2005 Kluger Grande, which includes the head unit with touchscreen. This lovely little thing is used to control the clock, the air-conditioner, the radio/CD/tape player, the audio settings, the satellite navigation system... A LOT of stuff.

Well, my screen is BLANK. It has been that way for a few years now. The touchscreen function still works, so if I press the right button on the side of (or below) the unit, I can bring up the relevant page and control the air conditioning, audio settings... Providing I know where to press. Because it's BLANK. It flashes a slightly dulled white screen for half a second every time I turn the car on, but that's all the activity I get out of the display, ever.

 

I would've had this feature fixed much longer ago, except that EVERY quote or prediction I got from autoelectricians, mechanics and dealerships painted a harrowing tale of several-thousand-dollar-costs that I just couldn't/can't afford.

 

Now that I am wanting to sell the car, there's no way I will be able to get a decent 2nd-hand price for it if the navigation head unit doesn't work properly!

 

Can anyone point me in the direction of either of the following?

 

A) A repairer with experience fixing 2005 Kluger Grande head units, or

 

B) A place I might be about to find the part from a particular wrecker, for legitimately affordable prices!

Start by calling every wrecker you can find in your area.

The other option is eBay/Gumtree.
