  2. I am sure many owners of Landcruiser 200s have had the same experience as me where the GPS has led me into the wrong roads. I’ve had two Landcruisers, a 2013 model and currently have a 2021 model. Both vehicles had/have poor GPSs. Even Toyota personnel agree with this. so I am considering replacing it with an after market unit. I don’t want one which relies on mobile phone connection. I am looking at a unit sold by Brummstadt. The link is https://www.brummstadt.com.au/products/toyota-land-cruiser-200-series-2016-2022-premium-head-unit-upgrade-kit-radio-infotainment-system-with-wired-wireless-apple-carplay-and-android-auto-compatibility I would appreciate any feedback from any owner who has taken this step. thanks, Bob See https://www.brummstadt.com.au/products/toyota-land-cruiser-200-series-2016-2022-premium-head-unit-upgrade-kit-radio-infotainment-system-with-wired-wireless-apple-carplay-and-android-auto-compatibility
  3. Since last year I've been getting quite terrible wheel wobble between 60-70 mph on the expressway. Sort of notice it however way less evident now and again going more slow. Recently got crankshaft belt and flash fittings changed at a repairman I believe that accomplishes great work. This began occurring after I got excessively blissful doing doughnuts in the colder time of year and knock a snow bank tapping a road sign haha... I figured I twisted something in the driver side suspension...lower control arm, tie bar, and so on yet repairman said everything was straight and tight, bushings alright, no spillage on them or swaggers. He said perhaps a wheel arrangement would fix it. I maintain that should do swaggers in any case cause the ride isn't quite as smooth as it used to be. Contemplations? Assuming I get an arrangement would it be advisable for me to do the swaggers first or is that all the more with supplanting the lower control arm?
  4. I'd be surprised if they expect you to pay for it as it is a recall issue. Glad it's been checked out before it's too late though.
  5. Any one had any experience with fusible links blowing out. Auto electrician replaced one fusible link today bc and after driving it for 1/2 hour the plastic has melted and the link red hot. It is the blue link in the set. Any suggestion?
  6. Hi just wondering if anyone would know why my gearbox is jumping out of 1st gear, it engages into first but before I can change to 2nd gear it sometimes jumps back to neutral.

  8. I am thinking of getting Yaris but unsure what to look out for ie what’s generally fails in Yaris etc. What mode is a better build etc. I have zero car knowledge so any advice is greatly appreciated. thank you kindly
  9. Hi there, bit of background, I’ve got a 2003 Toyota hiace lwb that has a good motor but the shell is dead, and a 1993 Toyota hiace commuter extra long wheel base that has a dead motor. Both diesel, 1993 is 2.4L engine, 2003 I’m not 100% but I believe it’s also a 2.4L engine So my question is does anybody know if the 2003 motor would fit in the 1993 hiace commuter.
  10. Need to change my oil but don't know how much oil to put back into engine? Tarago 1998 GLI
  11. Hi all, trying to get some opinion/feedback on what I recently observed on my Corolla Cross. It happened on the last two trips where the car made noise, I feel some vibration/rattling when I was braking. It lasts for 1 or 2 seconds. I kind of felt the tires skid but I am not sure if that's what actually happened. And I, again kind of, felt that it was the right side tires. Or at least the noise coming from the right side. But it could be just because I was driving and obviously sit on the right side of the car. In those 2 trips, it happened in 4 occasions. And it wasn't abrupt or hard braking, just normal slowing down. I wonder if this is a known issues ... or if anyone with the same car experience the same or similar issues. Thank you.
  12. Hi everyone, My kluger 2009 kx-s on 136000 odo meter, it has the catalytic converter problem so I have changed it even though it shows the same code po420 code please help to solve this issue thanks
  13. Aisan (not to be confused with Aisin by the way) has been an OEM supplier for Toyota carburetor, throttle-body and fuel-injection components since the '60s. Unlike Denso and Aisin though, they're not actually part of the Toyota Group (but Toyota does have a financial interest in them)
  14. Scott, See this site. I put a reply on it a few days ago re your type of problem.

    Kakadu GVM

Help/advice please!! I have just purchased a 2021 Kakadu which has bull bar/extra battery and now have my kids car seat, roof racks on board too. took it over the tip scales and it came in at 2,680kg with myself, missus and our son…which is as many people as we plan to carry.. BUT fuel tank was not full AND it’s the model with 150l tank so 150kg capacity/potential. we are picking up a newly ordered caravan with 2,450kg tare/ 3,000kg max which I therefore assume will add a 245kg-300kg tow ball weight to our Kakadu’s gvm…is this correct? As if so we would be well over with a full tank of fuel and then surely we are un-insurable even if we don’t fill the fuel tank? looking for advice before i ditch the Kakadu for a Landcruiser or Defender! I could remove the bull bar ($3,000) and remove the 3rd row of seats ($300) to come up with an other 75kg or so but doesn’t seem worth it….any advice/thoughts? thanks Quote

  17. I have a 2002 Corolla 1.8L ZZE-122R, Engine 1ZZ-FE Jap. I have 2 different scan tools {Jaycar Protech PP2147 & Actron AutoScanner CP9576). Both scan tools say DATA ERROR Connection, have tried scan tools out on 3 other different cars and all is OK with the scan tools, just got the car back from the mechanic and he says there is no problem with the OBD data connection. Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as which scanner would work. Thanks Maga
  18. Anyone know exactly what the little spanner light means and how to reset it? Best info I have so far is that this is the service interval light. The trouble is I don't know how to reset it. Instructions given say, press and hold the odometer button. There isn't one. There's the "display" button on the steering wheel but that does not reset the little orange spanner warning light.
  19. Bob jane and tyre power both said these are not recommended and they wear very quickly? They suggested the Michelin xm2+ or the toyo proxes c100? but have read bad reviews on those
  20. One of the only things working against (or for, depending on your viewpoint) the ST204 Celica is that a bunch of them were probably crushed as a result of not being able to source replacement airbags during the Takata recall (a similar fate befell the Starlet). I don't think all models had that particular airbag though so it probably disproportionally affected certain trim-levels too. This might artificially inflate the rarity of what was generally seen as a nondescript uninspiring 90s hair-dresser "sports car" that still sold reasonably well.
  21. I have the same vehicle. I normally use Nulon Ultra 5w-30, replaced every 5000km. I notice this issue as the car approaches the 5000km mark. Come to think of it I used to use 10w-40 Nulon and I don’t remember it making the noise as much.
  22. Hi, Has anyone fitted a 35 inch tyre in their spare wheel cavity? (200 series ) Thought asking the question would be easier than trying Cheers Dan
  23. Hi, can anyone tell me where this wire is supposed to go. Thanks Mark
  24. Update The issue seems to have fixed itself, door is locking and unlocking every time now, so the Innox most probably worked its way through and loosened up whatever wasn't working before. Will update again if anything changes.
