Did you ever manage to get those tracks of the runners???

Hi all, so I bought a 2003 tarago and happy with it. But I am using it as a cargo Van so removed the seats over the weekend. HOWEVER we can't seem to get those annoying sliders out of the tracks. I'd rather leave the tracks there as they don't stick up, but the metal sliders are a nuisance! Can anyone tell me how I can slide these of the track??? The sliders are the metal pieces that attach to the seats via cables, and stay inside the tracks once the seats are removed, which was easy by the way.
