  1. I' m replacing the timing belt as it' done 150000km on my hilux 3ltr. As I'm in there I was going to replace the water pump , as it has leaked from the seal at one point. I need to remove the timming gear to get the back plate off to access the water pump . I know that there is a hex on he cam shaft to hold it place . The rocker cover has to be removed. Can I remove the rocker cover without touching the injector lines? Or can I hold the gear without undoing the rocker cover . Can i use old belt and hold it ? All well undoing but I don' want it to move when I'm torquing it back up. Is there a short cut somewhere?
