Hi All,

I need to get my brake pads changed in the near future, currently have the oem pads on. Im not too mechanically savvy but from a scale of 1 to 10 how hard is it to DIY? (time consuming?)

and any recommendations on brake pads, my mechanic told me bendix arents so good anymore because they took out the asbestos from them

i dont mind paying a little extra if it means it will save my life

p.s. I have a 2003 corolla conquest - doesnt have ABS if that makes a difference

I'd rate it a 1/10 to change the pads, maybe a 2-3/10 if you have never done it before.

As for pad selection it depends on what your after. Do you want track pads, something to drive a little fast with or a normal pad?
