18x7.5 Rims

Recommended Posts

If your going to slam it then yeah, go for the 215/40/18. From memory though that is even rarer than the 225/35/18's

Plus you have to meet a load rating so your tyre search could be drawn out and costly.

Like I said, i'm on 225/35/18. Full locking is rare for me and only done at slow speeds if at all. I don't like to stress the steering rack by going to the extremes so rubbing isn't too much of a problem.

I'm looking for a new set of 225/35/18 at the moment and there's nothing decent under the $220-$250 mark.

not sure corzza, I'm by no means a tyre expert...youd have to find someone with one of those little books with all the load ratings...

alternatively could just give your local tyrepower a call?

Or if you know the weight of the corolla check this bridgestone website page.. you might be able to suss it out..

my 215 40 18s put my speedo out by about 3% so its very managable.

9mm bigger on the overall diameter compared to the tyres on my 16s previously (620mm vs 629mm i think from memory. )

9 mm thats nothing really but 3 % is.... so when u read 100 on your speed your cars really doing 103 ?? or is it 97 ??

does anyone no if u can get 18's with tyres and stay the same as the stock stivo rim / tyres.

thanks

I drive at 100 and i think it said i was doing 102 on my GPS.

Remember the speedo could also be out from factory

i would then suggest with larger rims drive with your needle just under the limits.

so just under 60 or 80 etc.

cameras dont snap 60 or 80 on the dot.
