There is a Japanese-spec ST162 Celica for sale which is badged "2.0 GT-R". Can anyone tell me what the difference is with the GT-R model to a local SX?

not sure but just guessing... the 2,0 gtr would be a 2.0 3sge engine. the local one is a 2.2... (not as good)

the ST16* came with the 3SGE and some came with the 3SFE (like my camry)... the ST18* and ST20* came with the 5SFE n i'v been told that some came with the 3SGE too

i think the GTR came with 4wheel steering n the code was ST163... not 100% on that

Four Wheel Steering (4WS) wasn't introduced until the ST183 GT-R. Not sure of the differences between the normal ST162 (which we got here) and the ST163

Well I had a look at the GT-R and it had a 3S-GE. It wasn't four wheel steering. Only difference I could see from local SX was climate control and sports seats.
